Spoiler alert: I love poems. I love reading them, I love writing them, and I love sharing them! The Lord gave me these poems as prayers of blessing for the sons and daughters in our lives, and I hope you love them as much as I do.

Dear God,
Please bless this child and keep him in your care,
Surround him with your presence so he may always feel you’re there.
Help him to love you with all his heart, soul, and mind,
And may he grow into a man who is strong, brave, loving, and kind.
Give him strength and courage to always do what’s right,
And help him every single day to brightly shine your light.
Please, dear Lord, protect him everywhere he goes,
In everything he does, and each day as he grows.
If ever he’s afraid, help him trust in You.
May he know that through Your strength there’s nothing he can’t do.
May your goodness and mercy follow him all of his days,
And please help him strive to always walk solely in Your ways.
Help him, dear God, to know that he’s never alone,
And that you are with him wherever he goes.
May he always know he’s loved more than words can say,
And that he’s a gift and treasure we thank you for each day.
